The Xantrex Battery Monitor uses sophisticated microprocessor technology to provide complete battery status information for your battery. By simply pushing a button you can scroll between displays showing volts, amps, amp hours consumed, and operating time remaining. At a glance you can simply look at the LCD bar graph to see a 'fuel gauge' reading of your current battery state.

The Xantrex Battery Monitor is an essential piece of equipment in your independent power system. It helps to inform you when to recharge your batteries based on the depth of discharge, battery loads can be monitored by the current passing through the shunt and alarms can be triggered to inform when the batteries are getting to a predetermined level. Warning: Once a battery monitor has been installed, you will never know what you did without one!

WHAT CAN BE DISPLAYED

State of Charge
Shows the exact state of charge for your batteries in a percentage format. This setting controls all the alarm outputs for the Xantrex Battery Monitor, and is the perfect indicator for true battery status.

Bar Graph
A simply, easy to read indicator bar showing battery status just like a fuel gauge. 5 bars, each representing 25% of battery capacity are spread across the top of the gauge.
Once the batteries are full, the 5th bar simply flashes.

Volts
This is a simple reading to show the battery voltage reading, either under load or charge. Volts is a quick reflection of the state of your battery, but does not really let you know a true condition of your battery.

Amp Hours
Shows the accumulated amp-hours consumed from the battery over a set period of time. This increases with battery loads, and increases with any recharge source.

Amps
The amps setting is easy to use, and excellent for minimising non essential DC loads. The amps function shows all currents passing across the shunt (a measurement device installed in the DC negative loom), both recharge and discharge currents.

Time Remaining
Uses smart software to calculate the time remaining in your batteries based upon the current load. Can be used as a good guide to when your batteries are 50% discharged.

WHAT ELSE CAN IT DO ?

Alarm Outputs
Set a buzzer, send a signal to start your generator, or just let an indicating source tell you that it is time to either turn some loads off, or start recharging your batteries. The alarm function can be programmed to work exactly as you require with adjustable set points for on and off of the alarm.

Battery Temperature Sensor
For 100% precise battery monitoring, the battery range of the battery can be monitored using the optional battery temperature sensor kit.

Software Kit
An optional communication kit allows you to download and display all battery information on your PC. This kit can produce perfect usage graphs of your electrical system, and is an invaluable tool in the measuring and displaying the usage of any DC appliance.
