The whole CPS2 range provides a specific charge to the battery which is fully compliant with all of the battery manufacturers' specifications. Built to be entirely automatic, with inbuilt charge distributors, the CPS2 range can be permanently connected to the battery banks in complete safety, without any need to disconnect the charger when starting the engines.

Charge Modes
The boost mode of the CPS2 range can be selected depending on the charger usage. The charge rate of the charger is a true three stage charge cycle of Boost, Absorption and float modes. By simply flicking a dip switch inside the charger you can 'turn off' the boost mode to simply use the CPS2 charger as a basic floating type charger, but with safety features of a smart battery charger to prevent overcharging. They can also operate as a regulated and filtered DC power supply if required, and can automatically compensate for any DC demand even when recharging the batteries (e.g. Fridges).

Battery Connections
All of the CPS2 models above 16amps @ 12 volts and 8amps @ 24 volts have standard three independent charge outputs, with the lower powered models featuring two charge outputs. In order to maximise the engine starter battery, one of the chargers outputs is dedicated to the start bank with a reduced voltage charge rate over the other outlets (0.4 of a volt DC)
